15 Gerichtstisch (Tavola della Regola), Terlago, Trento, Italien

15 Deutsche Fassung wird demnächst ausgearbeitet.
15 This “Rule Table” is situated in front of the church. In its current shape it probably dates back to the 16th century, but the site where it is found could point back to the Longobard influence. The presence of this Germanic tribe in Terlago is well documented and many local surnames and names of places hint to that. An example of that is the “Tower of the Braidoni”; the word “braida” is the yard in front of the defensive walls of a castle. Up until relatively recent times the table was used to practice the “sort” or “rota”. That is, the processes by which communal plots were assigned by chance to the different families of the village.
